Kalamazoo, MI

We are excited to partner with the City of Kalamazoo, MI and their social equity program to create a Social Equity Chamber. We are rolling out a series of webinars, one on one sessions, mentors, In Person events and more! All programming will be centered around diversity in the Cannabis industry both entrepreneurship and workforce development.

Key features of The New Social Equity Chamber will include:

1. **Social Equity Support:** The project provides support, resources, and guidance to social equity applicants who want to participate in the cannabis industry. Social equity applicants often include individuals who have been disproportionately affected by cannabis prohibition, such as those with prior cannabis-related convictions.

2. **Education and Training:** The Detroit Cannabis Project offers educational programs and training to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in various aspects of the cannabis business, including cultivation, processing, distribution, and retail.

3. **Community Engagement:** The project actively engages with the local community to raise awareness about the opportunities in the cannabis industry and to foster positive relationships between cannabis businesses and the neighborhoods they operate in.

4. **Advocacy:** The Detroit Cannabis Project advocates for policies and regulations that promote social equity, diversity, and inclusion within the cannabis industry. This includes working with government agencies and policymakers to ensure fair access to licenses and opportunities.
